YesYouCan Falafel Mix is a delicious, authentic recipe made with chickpeas and Middle Eastern spices. Ingredients:Chickpea (Kibble & Flour), Onion, Rice Flour, Ground Spices (Cumin, Coriander, Pepper), Parsley, Garlic, Salt, Raising Agent (Sodium bicarbonate).
Cooking Tip!!
Using two large teaspoons, scoop the Falafel mixture into one spoon, and use the other spoon to form a clam shape, compress and slide out into the hot oil.
Mixing instructions:
FALAFEL BALLS – FRIED:
Combine YesYouCan Falafel & Burger Mix and 200ml hot water.
Mix well and let it set for 10-15 minutes.
Pre-heat oil in a fry pan or deep fryer to medium heat temperature (150-160°) using enough oil to allow the falafel balls to float when being fried.
Shape falafel mixture into small balls or patties (about 4 cm in diameter).
Deep fry until they are golden brown.
Drain the falafels on absorbent paper towel.
Serving suggestions:Enjoy your falafels with tabbouleh, yoghurt, hummus and spicy sauce on your favourite wrap or on your salad.
VEGGIE BURGER PATTIES – PAN FRIED:
Combine YesYouCan Falafel & Burger Mix and 200ml hot water.
Mix well and let it set for 10-15 minutes.
Shape falafel mixture into small balls or patties (about 4 cm in diameter).
Spray frypan with oil and panfry patties until golden brown on both sides.
Serving suggestions:Place patties in a burger bun or pita bread and add your favorite sauces and salad.
