Cayenne Brownies

Makes: 1 tray (16 squares)

Bake time: 25–30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 pack YesYouCan Choc Fudge Brownie Mix

  • 2 eggs or Vegan Egg Replacer

  • 100 ml oil or melted butter

  • 80 ml water

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (or chili powder, to taste)

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • Pinch of sea salt

  • Optional topping: melted dark chocolate drizzle or a sprinkle of flaky salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C (fan forced) or 180°C (conventional). Line a 20 cm square baking tin with baking paper.

  2. Mix ingredients: In a bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, oil, water, cinnamon, cayenne, and vanilla. Stir until smooth.

  3. Pour & bake: Pour into the prepared tin and bake for 25–30 minutes or until just set in the centre.

  4. Cool slightly: Let brownies cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

  5. Finish: Drizzle melted chocolate and sprinkle sea salt for an extra kick.
